John joined the practice in 1987 and rose through the practice to become a director in 2012. Started out as an Architectural Technician, moved into CAD and then IT Management and ultimately business management.

 

Based in Manchester he is primarily responsible for the day to day management of the business coupled with his responsibility for information technology which is his primary background. As the only director not directly involved in architectural projects this frees up the other directors from the day to day business administration allowing them to focus more on their clients / projects. He is also the director responsible for Quality Assurance.

 

Although now mainly business focused, before moving into IT John was involved in delivering some major LRW architectural projects such as The Trafford Centre, Royal Armouries Museum North and other mainly retail projects which has given John a good understanding of the architectural side of the business as well.
